Upon attempting to activate my Hulu account I went to Hulu.activate not Hulu/activate. From thereI entered a code from my television onto my phone which prompted a message that said my account had been deactivated and I needed validation please call this phone number. I spoke with a man with a thick Asian Indian accent who explained my account had been hacked there were hundreds of dollars of charges on my card and I would have to download an app to verify I was the owner of the Hulu account. I started to download the app that he explained but a warning popped up that said it would take total control of my phone so I didn't feel comfortable and I ended the phone call. I then called Hulu customer service and was told that they do not have any practices like that and my issue with my Hulu account was resolved immediately with the real Hulu customer service.

I had to change my password to Hulu. So when I chose to sign in by computer I went to support Hulu to activate my TV to sign in to Hulu. It said I had to contact this number for verification So I did. He made me sign into Quick Support app from play store. I gave him access to my debit visa account. He said to verify who I was he would put one dollar into my checking acct. and then withdraw it. This went on and he said verification failed. Every verification process failed. Well as he had me on the phone, my bank was calling me, but I did recognize the number because it did not say my bank. While he was scamming me, he tried to withdraw 500.00 and 1000.00. My bank was suspicious and had shut down my card. That account did not have that amount of money. He did get $197.00 plus 35.00for overdraft protection. he said he would call me later and he did but by that time I had caught on and talked to the bank. He also tried to call me the next morning. I made every mistake that is out there for the warnings of scammers.
