HSM Group Reports & Reviews (5)

We are a teacup puppy breeder in NYC. One day I received a call from Melody Daniels she told me they would like to feature our company on multiple country clubs in Daytona Beach FL for whole year from 2014-2015 and they wanna give us a Centerfold spread for $900.
She says there will be no other small dog breeder will be featured on this Golf Direct magazine. There are many sketchy details: They charged my card without a contract is signed before hand and their company address she told me is different from the one showing on the contract. She can’t state the exact day the magazine is going to be published on the contract. Also when I ask her if I call call those clubs to verify the name of the magazine and see the previous hard copy she says this is their first year so there is no way to verify, she also says the phone numbers I call to the content clubs will not reach to the right department and it’s not fair for them to answer my questions. After I read the reviews here I totally feel not comfortable with this process and she finally refunded me. I’ve learn Ny lesson when the deal is too good to be true it’s definitely a scam!

I received a random call stating that they want to advertise my company to multiple county golf clubs for 800$ for 1 year in a magazine near Stuart Florida but what seemed sketchy to me was that he hesitated to send me an invoice for me to pay online and wanted my card information through the phone. He made an excuse saying “we just don’t want our company to get scammed like a recent Target incident did”. In general no matter what, NEVER give your card information to people you don’t know over the phone. I proceeded to trust my gut look up this group to see if it’s a scam before paying him and saw this page. I immediately gave the guy named Ed Rollins an excuse to get off the phone and blocked their number.

HE sounded legit, but whenever I asked those questions he panicked
1- where can I find your hardcopy previous publishings
2- I will call the golf club to verify
3- what other vendors before signed up with you show me an example
This is a total scam small business owners and hard workers beware. he will claim he is from your area while they r based off scam capital of the US Florida lol

I got a call from a man named Adam Anderson asking If I would like to be advertised in 4 Country Clubs in Scottsdale magazines. I returned the call to get more information and the whole conversation was a bit odd, but I looked at their website and saw an example of what they do and I was on the phone for about an hour going through the whole process. He made it sound extremely legit, and before I could do any research on my end - I fell for it and gave my credit card information (but did not authorize any payment until I sign the document in the email) Once I received the email, (screenshot attached) I knew it was a scam because nothing was adding up AND I called the country clubs to let me know they do not even send out that magazine to their members. I immediately called back and said I signed absolutely nothing, do not charge my credit card. Of course, they still did - so after a few calls back and forth with screaming and getting hung up on (manager is Mike Miller) (of course these are all fake names), and then they refunded my money. I am still concerned because they have my information - I am keeping my fingers crossed nothing else bad comes from this. It is so sad that these people can live with their lives knowing they are scamming people every single day of their lives. They clearly have no heart, soul, feelings, and will be by themselves the rest of their lives.

I have been contacted by this group as well, but I am questioning 2 things in this post.

First - you indicated that you realized it was a scam once you saw the email because "nothing was adding up" and indicated that you would include a screenshot. There is no screenshot so that others can see what you did and understand what was off.

But the biggest issue I am questioning is your claim to be out $800. By your own statements, they refunded your money to you in full. Yes, it took time and effort, but it was done. Just this fact argues against them being the full fledged "scam" that they are being portrayed as. Are they sus and appear shady as hell, yes, but not quite the outright villains are automatically thinking they are. My proposal letter is attached. I have not paid them anything yet, but have gotten them to agree to a 50% down and 50% in 90 days agreement. And, I do not have to give my CC over the phone, I was directed to a website (That I had already located by a Google search - so no links were used). The only bad thing is, again, a payment before a contract. I'm debating with myself to see if I am going to try it or not.
