Calling local businesses to buy advertising on their "sports boards" for local High Schools saying they are selling advertising space. They say they are representing Great Falls High School and CMR. They are NOT.

Called my business and requested a minimum of $195 claiming it would benefit the winter sports program for Sequoia High School. After I called my son's school (Sequoia HS) they had no knowledge of this business helping them in the past or any communication with them.

Representatives of HS (High School) Backers have called businesses in the Bullhead City area, claiming to sell sponsorship and ad packages for Mohave High School, benefiting fall semester sports programs. When one of the business owners asked the telemarketer who at the school had authorized the solicitation, the sales representative said he couldn't recall. When officials of the Colorado River Union High School District called a specific sales representative to ask the same question, he hung up on us twice and has refused to return numerous messages or take our calls. No one at either the school district or high school has authorized this telemarketing. We are unable to confirm whether which businesses or individuals have agreed to these bogus sponsorships, but based upon previous scams, we are assuming money has been lost.
