Scammer texted about a job role doing work from home data entry that paid more than the usual average. Asked for personal information upfront including the bank name as part of their job assessment. Was offered a job next day without any interviews that asked for additional info and was also informed that since their administration was out of office they'd have to send a check to purchase WFH equipment. Also set up a mock employee profile that would most likely have been used to capture bank information. Company profile being spoofed lacked easily accessible contact information to verify employee or job. Scammer also wanted user to sign up for Telegram.
