A job was posted on linked in to do data entry. I emailed my resume as instructed in the job posting. I was contacted by someone named Mario to interview via Microsoft Teams with someone named Brittany. She asked several questions that seemed to be legitimate interview questions. She proceeded to offer me the job and said they would mail me a check to purchase my equipment and hold back $200. The job was initially with Prudental Laboratories but then she said they were affiliated with Quartet Health. The check was mailed from DigitCity in New York and the account the check was from was for Munro & Mineo, P.A. which is a lawfirm in Florida according to google. They wanted me to deposit it at an ATM and send a copy of the deposit slip. After I advised them that I would not be depositing the fraudulent check, they turned nasty calling me terrible names and said they were too busy to talk with me as they had more intelligent people to speak with.
