I needed help installing my HP Printer. I called and was connected overseas to an Indian man who disconnected me twice. The I was connected with another Indian man and he remotely controlled my computer to try to find the problem (my wireless printer was not connecting to my computer.) We spent almost two hours on the phone. He finally told me it was a problem with my computer and that I would have more problems in the future with other things. He wanted to connect me to someone else in another department to purchase a security program. I did NOT say I wanted to purchase anything and sis not talk to anyone else. On August 1, 2016 as soon as we had money in our bank account, we saw on our bank statement that a $4.99 purchase had been made to PayPal from a company we did not recognize. There was not a name, but stated it was a web Internet initiated entry on the date I spoke with the Indian man. I have not purchased anything else. I am positive that it was from this phone conversation. I reported it to our bank and stopped the payment but I'm sure they would have tried to take this out every month, thinking we wouldn't notice. I NEVER gave them any information about my PayPal account verbally and I certainly did NOT authorize any payment to them from my PayPal account. A total scam!
