My mother was looking for information on how to reconnect her printer to her computer. A message popped asking how they could help. She clicked on the message and was provided a phone number of 866-787-6520. She called and a person named Clay Jensen answered. He said in order for him to help her, she needed to purchase 4 gift cards for $500 each. He specifically requested the type of card, i.e. ebay, Xbox, etc., and where to purchase them. She purchased them as requested and called to give them the numbers. Each time she sent them the card numbers she would receive a call telling her there was problem with one of the cards and the transaction wouldn't go through. She dealt with Clay for a few days and then was passed to a person named Sam. The process was repeated with Sam. Each time she spoke with someone about the card error she was promised a refund. She was then passed to Fernando Rey. So today, 8/5/2020, she purchased her last card (as she is out of funds at this point) and Fernando told her she needed another 4 cards TODAY or they would have to begin the process over again tomorrow with another $2000 in cards. My mother called me today and told me the situation. I called Fernando myself and received the same song and dance she did. He said that when the process the cards the server will only accept cards of $500, nothing less. That was the reason there was a problem with some of the previous submissions as she submitted cards for $300. I was very demanding of him but he offered to let me visit him at 3000 Hanover St, Palo Alto, CA. When searching the web for HP in California, I found that they do have an office at this address but it wasn't the same number. They have totally taken advantage of my elderly mother. My reason for submitting this is to let HP know if in fact someone is using their name and address. And if it is HP, they are scamming the elderly!
