This past May, we were referred to Wendy by family friends and Wendy offered to help us book a vacation to Hawaii next year to celebrate my dad's retirement. She said that she had a family and friends travel agent rate that she would apply for us. We booked flights and a one week stay at the Aulani resort for 15 people and paid $11,400 to House of Aloha. My receipt from House of Aloha said that I would receive a confirmation within 24 hours with all my flight and hotel details and that I could also contact Jaymie Rodriguez, Wendy's assistant based in San Jose if I had any questions.

When I didn't receive my confirmation the next day, I messaged Wendy and she said that their invoicing system was down and that she would send me my trip details shortly. After two weeks had passed, I messaged her again and she said that they were in the process of transitioning their payment program from Square to Clover, but she would send me the details by the end of the week.

I didn't hear from her and a month later in June, when I asked again for the confirmation, neither Wendy nor her assistant Jaymie responded to my texts or emails. This was when my family and I became suspicious. We called Hawaiian Airlines and Aulani resort, but there was no record of our reservation. We emailed Wendy asking for a refund but did not receive a response. I currently have an open credit card dispute.
