I applied to multiple jobs on Indeed throughout the week. On Saturday Dec 4th, 2021 I received a text message saying that my resume for an "Admin Assistant Ad" was approved followed by a link to proceed. I opened the link and there was a brief background of the company as well as job description and pay. There was also a small form to complete asking for my name, address, phone number and skills. On Monday Dec 6th I got an email from the CEO of Hortex Group offering me the position. The email stated that he would send a list of assignment for me to complete as well as mail funds for the assignments and my salary (which I thought was weird). He asked that I confirm my contact information and state my availability to work. He also sent a picture of himself to 'add a face to the name'. Shortly after receiving the email, I googled the name of the sender and found the same generic image he sent of himself as one of the first results. I also came aross a review from someone else claiming it was a scam. I also went on Indeed and found that I did not even apply to this job. Definitely a scam. Do not respond to text or emails for an Admin Assistant position from Hortex Group.

I found this job on indeed.com for a office assistant job. He had me do an assignment and sent me a “paycheck” which turned out to be fake.
