Husband received voicemail stating he was being sued for a balance. I called from a different number and spoke with a “receptionist” who asked for case file (it was given on the voicemail). I told him I didn’t have that information but I had my husbands phone number. They used that to looked up his account. Stated he had spent >$500 at a jewelry store 15+ years ago and then paid on it little by little and it went to collections in 2015. And that all the information against him would be provided at the court date. When I questioned about the court date he (Kevin Smith) said it would all be on the paperwork. I told him we haven’t received any documentation and then he said it would be in the next 72 hours. They never asked for money or a payment. I called the jewelry store in question and they have no record of him ever buying merchandise or opening any line of credit. I called this “law firm” back and asked about a physical address and was hung up on. Beware
