Sent me a contract regarding approval for a loan. In order to obtain the loan, required to make first two payments upfront. Sent the payments via Western Union, and called me to let me know my credit score went down since approval the lender needed an extra payment to proceed. I declined and asked for a refund and company strung me along stating that as per contract refunds are only made at end of month. The end of the month came and no refund given. I called and got "Trevor" again and pretended to be surprised no refund came, he put me hold and hung up on me. When I tried to call back repeatedly, the phone line no longer works, nor does his email address. In fact, the entire website is down. Complete scam artists, set up like a legit business with multiple people scamming innocent people in need.

I got a call from Trevor Watson saying that they approved me for a high loan. He was really nice on the phone and everything was going great until he told me that in order for me to receive my loan I would have to pay 1078.12 as collateral. He even sent a contract over with the loan information but the collateral would have to be paid by money gram or a money order can not come from my bank. Sounded to go to be true and really fishy at the same time.

I had applied online through a legitimate loan service at Lending Tree for a personal loan. I was denied, but the very same day, I received a call /voicemail from a woman identifying herself as Leah Green, from Hopewell Lenders, and that I was approved for a loan of $5000. I called the number back that left me a voicemail, and the extension did in fact belong to "Leah Green". I left a voicemail explaining that I was returning her call but I did not leave any personal information on her voicemail. I asked her to please email me with more information on the loan process. I did receive an email from Ms. Green, but it was basically the same information that I received from the voicemail that she had left. That I had been approved for $5000 loan. I responded to her email, and asked her to tell me how she got my contact information, and to please provide me with information on their loan process, including interest rates, payments, etc. I have not received a response to my email nor has she returned my call. I went online to look the company up and couldn't find any information on their webpage about loan terms or interest rates or process to obtain a loan either. There wasn't even an online application, Just a lot of vague descriptions about how they help people with little to no credit and what appeared to be contrived testimonials from satisfied customers. They specifically mention helping people with horrible credit, people who are low income, and specifically mentioning people who are on "government subsidies and pensions". The website was also listed as "not secure". There are also no reviews of the business available online that I can see. I have no doubt in my mind that these people somehow spoof from legitimate loan websites and prey on people who are desperate for money and may not think twice about giving confidential personal information or as others have said, asking them to pay up front fees to secure the loan. A legitimate loan company will never do that. They will also be forthcoming with loan terms, and their website should show where they are accredited to do business (which state). Luckily I did not fall for it, but I am sure others have and will since they try to appear to be a legitimate company.

I’m so glad I talked to my boyfriend before making a decision. They seemed so legit the paperwork looked legit and it sounded good and legit over the phone. We googled the company could not find anything, no reviews no company name to match the address. So I googled hopewell lenders scam and I came across this. Thank you so much because they probably would have gotten money out of me if I didn’t research along with my boyfriend. Everything you stated is exactly what she told me 585 I had to put down or have a co-signer I’m so glad I didn’t send any money
