I answered an email recruiting for a secret shopper position. After I was "approved", they mailed me a check for over $3000 (to deposit in my checking account). After 2 days, the check cleared and I spent almost $3200 on making 2 money transfers (one through Western Union and one through Money Gram). After a few days, I found out the check bounced, and the bank garnished all the money in my account.

Please, if you see an ad advertising for "secret shoppers", stay the hell away from it.
