Scammed from Maddie99

Maddie99 was advertising Teacup chihuahua puppies for sale on Hoobly. Her phone number is 614-432-2089. She required a $200 deposit, which I sent her via CashApp. She FaceTimed me and sent me updated pictures of the puppy I was supposed to get. She sent me a text message saying that it was Vet day and she was $100 short, providing a discount on the balance due (total cost of puppy was $600) if I could send her the $100. I could go on and on about all the things she did but long story short, I went to pick up the puppy and she provided a fake address. No puppy and I am out several hundreds of dollars.

Please beware of this scammer. Do not let her do this to you. It is heartbreaking.

They were selling a litter of 3 puppies. They said 2 were still available and sent pictures. They offered for me to come see and leave cash deposit or leave deposit by PayPal. Since 1 hour away and puppies weren’t ready yet I made deposit by PayPal. They had already given me a address. When going to address a week later in was a vacant house.

I opened an account with hoobly.com to look for a puppy thinking it was a legitimate classified website.
My family member pointed out that it looked like a scam.
I tried to close my account but there is no place to close the account.

We put 200.00 down on puppy listed by labmom78. She promised when puppies were born that she would send picks and we would have first pick of female. She refuses to answer questions and has yet to do anything she said. We have not been able to pick and even though the puppies can be picked up in 2 weeks, she hasn't even responded to us. She has another add out for yellow labs in Fall. Dont give her money she is either a scam or a liar. Her asking price is 600. Beware. Her phone number is 352.873.8423

My mom was wanting to purchase a little girl Yorkie (hers passed about a year ago at 16 years old). Hoobly Classifides put her in contact with this person who was looking to find forever homes for two 6 month old teacup Yorkie. They exchanged info and had my mom send $960 in a cash app and they were going to put the puppy on a plane the next morning. The next day they called and needed more money because they said the airline was requiring them to Covid test the puppy and put a chip in it before it could fly. My mom offered to send the additional money ($450) when the puppy arrived and they did not return her call. She then texted them and said she would be okay with just getting her money back and never heard from them again...and no refund.

There was a recent ad posted on July 24, 2020 for Labrador puppies posted in Hoobly selling for $600 each - showing photos of 3 males and 2 females. They stated that the mom and dad were also on site at the house. Their phone number was posted and stated they will only sell to local buyers only. I called the number and they texted me back answering all my questions. They sent me video footage of the 3 puppies that were left and photos of the parents. They stated to send $50 via cashapp to $jasminefigeroa1 to reserve the puppy as an option and then gave me their address to meet on Wed 8/5/2020. When I showed up the address was fake and they stopped returning my phone calls and texts. They immediately removed the ad from Hoobly on Aug 5, 2020.

User's recommendation: DO NOT FALL FOR FAKE PUPPY ADS.

I submitted a $175 deposit for a Frenchton puppy from the user malissafalls on the Hoobly website.

24 hours after a successful transfer of funds the user claimed that she attempted to return the money to me with no reason or notice and that her Venmo account is now frozen and she has no access to the funds.

I inquired further and all communication has ceased.

I found australian shepherd puppies for sale on hoobly. I sent a girl named Chelsea ******** or better known as Chelsea Belle on social media sites or skylars mommy a $250.00 deposit on venmo and now she won't return calls or my money. She also blocked me on social media. This is a scam
