Homeworks Construction, Inc. Reports & Reviews (1)

- Honolulu, HI, USA • Nov 13, 2023

September 19, 2023 I replied to an employment flyer I saw on school campus. According to the flyer, I emailed [email protected]. She replied the next day, inviting me to send my resume she signed off as Arianna Howroyd Ph.D., Personnel Manager.

On October 28, 2023, I replied on the same email thread, inquiring if the position was still available, attached my resume.

October 30, 3023 I received a phone text message from Alice Rodriguez, Personnel Manager at Homeworks Construction, Inc regarding my application verifying if she had reached the correct person. After confirmation, instructed to me to download Skype for online interview. Sent me a link live:.cid.4d3ebd3bbf851d2d, I inquired training format, virtual, by manual, also starting date. Alice Rodriguez replied if selected undergo a week of online training and orientation. Estimated starting date is November 6th. Up to this point, I had no reason to doubt.

October 31, 2023, via Skype, she congratulated me all information and qualifications were verified. She discussed the materials necessary for this position working from home, she advised "The company" will fully fund all work-related materials and I will not pay any out-of-pocket expenses.

My first task was to email their preferred 3rd party vendor BMC Software ([email protected]) for a Proforma Invoice for a list of hardware totaling $2,850, complete details available upon request. Of course, under my name and phone number, address known due to shipping address. Via email, November 2, 2023 confirmation of products, forwarded it to Alice Rodriguez, following day received a PAID by cash receipt via Bank transfer the following day from BMC Software, I did not transact to date documents are available upon request.

Saturday, November 4, 2023 Alice Rodriguez texts me "our account manager informed me that our IT company will install functional software on your private work phone. Please note that the company will cover all monthly bills. However, the company only works with Verizon, AT&T and T Mobile." I was to inquire Postpaid iPhone 14 Pro Max, large amount of memory- under my name, walked out with the phone paying down payment and taxes $351.82. "Note all expenses will be reimbursed in your first week payment." I am so foolish! "The company will handle all monthly payments." Of course, reiterates the importance of doing so quickly to avoid any delay for my training, ultimately first weeks' pay. She asked for a copy of the receipt and front/back pictures of the box, she was to send to the IT manager to provide her with the IT company address. Unanswered questions about the company's location, address.

Next, ship via expedited overnight shipping $140.09 to a specific address, available upon request, as well as details when/who received it.

After inquiring what other materials I can expect to pay out of pocket, she only commented about being reimbursed with first weeks' pay.

Of course, November 8, 2023 BMC Software emails an update on shipping, "unfortunately there's been a delay.. from our logistics department obtaining a tracking number.. rest assured I am actively working on resolving this issue and anticipate on having tomorrow, once I do, I will promptly forward it to you." Nothing after that. I inquired with Alice Rodriguez if someone from her office can contact BMS, all she said that she is "exceptionally certain" I will receive the package in a timely manner so I can setup and get started on training.

Monday, November 6, 2023 Alice Rodriguez texted me to send her a better picture of T-mobile receipt, with an apology for the inconvenience. Friday the 10th she texts "your work phone will be shipped off to you before the end of today, after updating , active and connecting the phone to our company's software server. kindly get a $25 iTunes card so I can advance it to them to enable them to conclude the final process..." Her response regarding to "final process" "updating your phone and connecting it to our company's server. Once completed the device will be shipped out today."

After that I have to admit I back peddled, asked her where she is located, she replied their office has no affiliation with any businesses on the mainland.

I want to shed light on a scam happening using a decent legitimate business's name for greed!
