My husband and I were trying to buy a dog, everything seemed so legit until the day before the dog was suppose to come, we got an email saying that they we would have to pay for a crate and travel insurance, when it was already agreed that transportation would be taken care of. When we brought up the email to the person named “Stephon Liam” he started showing red flags. He couldn’t prove anything we were asking and going in circles making excuses for everything that we were brining to his attention. We told him that we wanted our money back and no longer wanted to go through with the purchase of the dog because we had a bad feeling, he ghosted us. The next day, the day our dog was suppose to come home” we got an AI generated photo of a dog in a cage with our name typed up that was absolutely noticeably fake, asking for our address. The picture wasn’t even of the same dog. At that point we cut all contact and realized we were out $1,000.
