This morning, only minutes after reporting another scam from 2 days ago, I received another call, again from Oak Harbor, WA. When I answered, the call went like this: "Hi, I'm Hilary from the homeowners' association calling from a recorded line." I hung up. We have no homeowners' association and this was very similar to the call I received 2 days ago, phishing for the answer "yes". It was from the same phone area code and prefix. The thing which caught me off guard on the first call was that the caller didn't sound like a recorded message. These calls sound very spontaneous as though they are coming from a person, not a recording.

This is Joe with your homeowners association there has been some recent complaints about your property..silent for 3~4 seconds..sorry , can you hear me now? me: I don't have anything to do with a homeowner association. It then hung up.
