My parents had just completed a successful home refinance on their mortgage with a company called "Homebridge". A few weeks after the refinance, they received a letter in the mail from "Homebridge Financial Services Inc" that advertised low cost mortgage protection life insurance. Thinking that it was a good idea my parents tried to fill out the letter with their contact information to send back to "Homebridge Financial Services Inc". I asked or original lender "Homebridge" about this, and they told us it was a SCAM, and that "Homebridge" does not offer life insurance. Upon further inspection, the fraud letter had a small disclaimer in the top right that states "Not affiliated with or sponsored by Homebridge Financial Services Inc; solicitations not authorized by and loan information not provided by Homebridge Financial Services Inc". Also in tiny text at the bottom of the letter it states "Letter was sent by or on behalf of LeadPros LLC". I'm afraid if we had not caught it in time my parents would have been scammed into applying for a mortgage life insurance policy that doesn't exist.
