Got a call and asked if I could hear them and I said yes and they hung up from a home security business

These people have literally been calling for years. It's a recorded line which features a female recorded voice saying hi this is Ashley (or some other female name) with Home Security. This same call has come in literally hundreds of times from different number with my same exchange/area code. I block the caller each time, but I keep getting calls from different 910 numbers, like they are spoofing the numbers or just brought up every open 910 number there is. Not sure what they want, I always hang up, but one time I stayed on to see if a live person would ever come one so I could tell them to stop calling me, but they never do, can't figure out what the angle is, but if you get any unsolicited sales call from something like this, ignore it, hang up, don't say anything, and block the number.

I was called and offered a free home security system. The caller pushed to have me say yes. When avoiding saying yes indirectly the caller was enraged got loud with me and hung up.

I got a call at approximately 2:50 pm on April 21, 2017 and was asked if I could hear them.. I said yes, before I realized that I was warned about this scam..

Wanted me to say yes

The scammer said "Can you hear me? and I stupidly said "yes" because I has half asleep when they called. I suspect it was a scam where they record your voice saying yes and then use it to "prove" you've agreed to something at a later date. I normally don't answer calls from unknown numbers but was asleep when they called and just automatically answered.

Monica from Home Security keeps calling. Last time, I asked her to place me on the do not call list. Today I told her I had already asked her not to call me. She said "no". I said, "yes, I have!" She said she was calling in regard to the company with which I have an account. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and I was going to report her to the ScamPulse.com. She apologized and hung up. I realized after he call I had accidentally said the word "yes". Now, I am concerned they may try to sign me up or charge me using my recorded "yes". I want to be clear that I did not agree to anything! How do I protect myself from that?

I Remember the call saying he was from a home security company his name was Josh, He asked if I could hear him and I said "yes" and then later found out it was a scam.

On 2/8/17 at 7:34 PM from # 855 461-9822 I believe the caller claimed he was from a home security company and asked if this is Mr....(he then stated my first and last name) and I said yes. Then remembering the "yes" scam I hung up. The scam just occurred 5 days ago so no loss indicated yet.

Caller said he was with home security and asked if I would like a free wireless security system. I said we already had one thinking that would end the call. He then asked if we had a monthly contract. I said yes. He then said finally and the call ended. I realized I had said yes and checked and noticed the name of the business had been reported. Nothing else has occurred yet.

1/27/17 at 4:17PM: Lady called and identified herself as calling from a home security company and asked if I could hear her OK. I answered "yes" before I realized this could be where they record you saying "yes" and use the recording for fraudulent purposes. I took photo of caller ID, and wanted to report to BBB in case I need backup in case of fraud.

Thank you, Lisa Rendueles
