I was browsing for a place to rent and emailed/called numbers listed on those sites (home/apartment ect) the person texted me and stated he was the homeowner and hes sorry he missed my call and i totally fell for it.. i sent him pictures of our ID's and screenshots of bank accounts showing previous proof of income after completing the "application" that was emailed to me. I started getting the feeling it was a scam so before i paid the app fees ($100). I pulled up the listing online and called the number listed and was told it is definitely a scam. he wanted me to venmo the money to username- joey-smith-175.
