They posted an ad for an online work from home job. They talked over text and messaging apps and made everything appear very legit, and got my bank info and drivers license. But when I tried calling the different phone numbers they gave me I realized they were from different states and when I looked up the hiring manager I found the same picture on an linked in profile that said her photo and info is being used in scams for sensitive info. They wanted to route mibwy through my bank account into another vendor account for equipment for the job but it was a lot of different names and numbers and apps. I'm going to check with my bank and the dmv to see what can be done To protect myself. They seemed legit and this was the 1st online job I had applied for so it took me longer than it should have to realize I was in the middle of a scam.
