Beware: attempted insurance fraud and scamming consumers. I phoned Pro Max at midnight after a clogged drain caused water to leak onto our basement floors. A guy named Kleardo Bifsha (Cleo) and Ervis showed up. They already plugged in their 3 air movers and 1 dehumidifier before even telling me an estimate of what the cost would be for their after-hours service including equipment. I told them I would go through insurance yet they still required full credit card information including CVC pin at the back of the card without any explanation or an estimate of the flooring restoration/mold remediation. So what were we signing? They leave the air movers/dehumidifier running overnight. The next morning I asked if they would take the equipment today and Cleo said if we do, we will charge you $4,500! For less than 24 hours of running the fans! I requested that do not charge us until our insurance company confirms the settlement for emergency restoration and he agreed. In the meantime I requested that he send me an emergency estimate plus flooring restoration estimate to show our insurance company, Cleo refused to provide an estimate!! He started patronizing me saying he "knows the insurance better than I do" and that I should "trust him and let him do the flooring restoration and don't worry about insurance later, it will be taken care of." But how can I say yes to a project without knowing no $$ dollar estimates whatsoever? After the third day of running the fans (Note: running the fans without removing the wet damaged vinyl floors does nothing, it's just a cash grab), they sure enough attempted to charge our credit card an unknown amount without our knowledge. Luckily we warned our credit card company about this scam quick enough that they couldn't charge. Cleo and Ervis both promptly called and texted threatened to put our house on lien and sue us in court and bankrupt us. I continued to ask him for an invoice and he would not even provide an invoice!! He suddenly text messaged his price which reduced from $4,500 to $1,800, he never provided an explanation on what these numbers are based on (this means he's making up numbers on the spot to fear monger the customer into making a quick decision). He continued to harass us to send the money despite no estimate, no invoice, no agreed upon price between the contractor and the consumer. After 3 whole days he provides an invoice of $1,800 which had inaccurate and untruthful line items of the scope of work and without per unit prices, just some sentences referring to conversations that had nothing to do with the scope of work. I asked to send a revised invoice with itemized details and he refused and says he will proceed with the lawyer!! Once we received the insurance coverage, I sent about $1,000 based on the insurance's estimate which was highly detailed and an accurate price for what they did [Air Mover, 3 days ** *** ***** ***** **********; 1 dehumidifier for 3 days ** *** ***** ***** **********; equipment setup/takedown, equipment decontamination, after hours service]. He wouldn't accept that and requested more money out of our pocket. When zero work was done except plugging in the fans! At this point I could afford $200 extra and seeing that he continued to harass me over text, I sent him the money. Then the case was settled. Cleo's entire interaction from start to finish was dishonest and patronizing ********** ** ***** *** ***** ** ** ***** ** *** ***** *** *** ********* *** **** *** ***********. The company is manipulate by taking advantage of people who were simply following the typical home insurance claim procedures. I was so distraught and devastated from this interaction with the company that I had to go to the emergency for an anxiety attack. I kept all records of emails, text messages, phone calls, pictures and bank transfers as evidence against these people. Please avoid this company, ********** ***** ****** ******
