The representative from MAAR24 came by my property near Markdale on October 31 to repair my washing machine. He confirmed that it required a replacement part, for which I would need to pay up front. I paid for the part via e-transfer to [email protected] in the amount of $307. He indicated it would take 4-6 weeks for the part to come in. After calling repeatedly at 6 weeks, 2 months, 3 months, I then asked to cancel the order. Their initial response in February was that they would provide a refund, and requested my email address so they could refund by e-transfer. After calling a few weeks later in March, they then informed me that they could not provide a refund as their representative who visited my property had stolen all the funds that were paid by e-transfer and is no longer working for the company.

They provided me with the contact details of the representative, including drivers license details. I will be reporting this to the police when I am back in Markdale.
