The company was phoned for a freezer service and said the cost $80 plus tax to come over and look at the problem.

He came in an unmarked car and looked at the freezer, after about 10 minutes, then said, "A thermostat has to be replaced."

He had no test equipment to check anything, I noticed.

He then said that the labour is $285 plus tax. I ( the son) am careful about signing anything so I said to him " Are you fixing this right away, now? He said, "Yes, I'll fix it now. right away" I said ok and signed for $285 thinking he would repair it right on the spot, the labour and part included, that is what was understood at the time and what he had said to me.

At this point in time I left my father on his own for something I had to do.

He then went back to his unmarked car and phoned for about 10 minutes, came back and said "The thermostat is $309.19 plus tax." ( to my father)

The subtotal was now S594.19 plus tax for a total of $671.43. nothing was fixed because of no parts.

They wanted the payment in cash. (no repairs were done)

My father which is 91 said that he does not carry a lot of cash but will pay with a cheque $496.74, which he did thinking, the job was already done and the freezer working. Nothing was done to fix it at all, we found out when he left.

The company wants the remaining $174.69 and will go to a collection agency to get the money they told me.(the son)

I phoned the lady back ( I am the son calling for my father) at the desk and this is what she told me, basically not wanting to talk to me at all about it, just pay up! She told me she has other customers to look after, and, can't be bothered about the problem.

They want a total of $671.43 of which $496.74 was paid by check with $174.69 due with nothing repaired so far.

His total time was approximately 45 minutes I was told.

I also noticed that there is no warranty stated on the bill for any service that would be done.

In my opinion, we should of only paid for the service call only which was $80 plus tax, and the remaining, after the job was repaired to working order. That would be a fair way of doing any kind of business.

We have a sub zero fridge, and had an issue with the ice machine, I googled for subzero repair people. I found the A team. A technician came to the house and told us the water filter (which was only a few weeks past needing to be changed) was left in too long and had ruined the entire ice maker. He also said he has never seen this before, and the entire thing needed to be replaced! He then told us that the ice maker was not under warranty and the entire thing would cost $2561.04!!!!

We stupidly paid and waited for the parts. He came back three weeks later after cancelling one call bc his car broke down, when he arrived to change our the machine, his first order of business was to demand a phone charger from me, which I had to fetch multiple for him bc they were not the right cord, however, I was nice enough to do that in hopes he would get to fixing the machine after that. He then proceeded to plug his tools into the electrical outlets that were beside my drying fragile wine glasses, knocking them over with little regard. He slammed the freezer drawer onto the counter, causing it to chip he banged and smashed around in the freezer I was terrified he was going to beak something, but I figured, he was a “professional” so I sat quietly.

He installed the machine and left. Im pretty sure, the ice is now contaminated bc his hands were filthy, touching dirty tools, one of which he plopped on my drying rack and clean dishes ( I rewashed all of them)

Later that night I was making a drink and the ice in my glass looked strange. There were little copper parts of the ice maker falling off into the ice! The freezer drawer light now no longer works, and the mechanism that stops the ice from falling from the ice maker when the drawer is open, also no longer works. This guy broke more when he installed the new ice make which I am now convinced we didn’t actually need.

These people need to be stopped.

Called for a washing machine repair. I was not at home when the repairman came on January 21,. so my husband was taken advantage of. (We are seniors.) The repairman overcharged us for service, as well as charging us $334.21 for a part that was not installed. He did some kind of patch job. When I returned home, I mentioned to my husband that the water continued pouring into the tub even when the lid was up. It normally stops once the lid is opened, so you can put in your laundry after watering down your laundry soap. We called and were told they would have to check on the warranty.? It was one week later! Then we were delayed because they had to order a replacement part. When the repairman was to come, I got a call from him saying the part was not in, but when it arrived that he would install for free!!!

After numerous delayed appointments, and the continual lies the repairman returned to put in the part. (my husband asked for the part that was removed, only to discover it was probably the original part, that was NEVER replaced, but we were charged for. Although, I was furious I decided to remain calm, so I could JUST get the part that we'd paid for. Apparently, they really thought we were stupid or rich or maybe decided that by the tone in my voice that he should just get in and out before all hell broke loose. At this point I decided to let it go.

Until today, I go to do my laundry only to discover the machine DOES NOT work! I called today again, put on hold and then was told the service person was not available until Wednesday. I asked if they only had one repairman and the lady said no, we have to get the same repairman come back and service. I was given an appointment for Wednesday, Feb. 12th. This was the final straw. I have called another repair shop to come and look at the washing machine later today. I can honestly say this is undoubtedly a fraudulent enterprise. I only have ever talked to one lady when calling, who on several occasions has cut me off, put me on hold forever, who continued to validate lies about the serviceman saying 'he'd called and we were not home.' At the same time, we have proof of his phone number, and the name of the service person who declared we were not home, as we were sitting awaiting his arrival. He called both numbers given, rang only once and then hung up. When I immediately returned the call thinking we had been cut off, there was no answer?

I believe this is a two person business, pretending to be a respectable repair company. .On a final note, they only would deal in cash or debit?

I was charged $692 for a drain pump which the representative said had a 3 year warranty on the part and I would receive an e-mail from the company on the same day for the 3 year warranty. I also paid $320 in labour plus $131.56 in taxes for a total of $1,143.56. Two days after I did not receive the warranty for the manufacturer drain pump, the rep on the phone said they don't give 3 year warranties, only 30 day warranty from The A Team Appliance Repair Team. I did not receive any warranty still to this date.

The technician came to our house to repair the refrigerator. We were told the total amount will be $290. When he finished the job, he asked us to pay $600. When I asked him why $600, he told me he had to replaced a part. We were never told that he was replaceing a part. I told him I wasn't happy with the amount, he got very angry with me, and told me that he is not leaving the house. I had to pay, cause my husband had an appointment he had to leave and I was alone in the house. I was scanned.

Fake Technician came to look at washing machine. Demanded $295.00 (cash or debit only) up-front from my Landlord. I advised her something wasn't right. He then started cursing at me in my own home. I asked him to leave, told me to shut-up. I then escorted him out. Demanded $80.00 dollars for service call. I then checked reviews online (My landlord didn't) 139 1 star reviews out 139 total reviews all having similar experiences. This company NEEDS to be shut down. They take advantage of people who have no knowledge of these things.

I was quoted $80 over the phone for the visit. The technician arrived and told me I needed a new part which would arrive in 3-5 business days. The invoice said over $300 for labour (not the original $80). The part never arrived. I have called multiple times and each time been told the part would arrive in 2-3 weeks. It has now been almost three months. When I asked for a refund, they only offered $400, and I have not even received that. Their reviews on Google, Yelp, HomeStars, and ScamPulse.com reveal a similar pattern.
