The text seemed to be from Home Depot, but after checking with them, it was not from them. The text offered a $100 certificate for filling out a survey about Home Depot. I chose a product by NatureSpa-2 shower heads and accepted an upgrade of 3 filters as well. The survey had Home Depot Logos and10 questions that all seemed legitimate survey questions. There was never any mention of a trial subscription, until after the purchase was completed. I almost didn’t see it, but in doing a quick review, happened to have my eyes bug out at seeing I would later be billed $89, instead of the about $10 I was expecting. That billing page also made clear I would be expected to return the 2 shower heads if I cancelled the subscription. Home Depot and maybe even NatureSpa were fraudently used to sucker me into making a purchase of 3 filters for $10, that had a surprise $89 subscription attached. They has made a promise in the name of Home Depot that was an empty, broken promise. Having to commit to a subscription is hardly a free gift certificate. I cancelled the order and will now notify my credit card company to block that order
