Website claimed “Black Friday” sale with close out prices. I ordered 3 pair of HOKA shoes two at a discounted price of $30 and one at a discounted price of $26 for a total of $86 since the site claimed free shipping for orders over $65. I chose to pay via PayPal, but only after the transaction processed as “pending” did I notice an odd email attached to the PayPal account recipient associated with that business ([email protected]) and immediately became suspicious. I sent an email to cancel the order an hour after initially placing the order and tried to contact PayPal to cancel the pending transaction, but was unable to do so. I then received notification that the PayPay recipient changed the authorization amount to $98.90, which I did not agree too. When I searched for reviews online, I discovered that this site is associated with others claiming that they didn’t receive what they ordered, received knockoff items, or received erroneous items the company claims was due to the distribution center however no one ever recouped their money back. I know I’m early in the process, but wanted to report the situation as it was happening before they change their website again. I am disputing the amount with PayPal’s Resolution Center as I did not authorize my bank card to be charged that amount. I am waiting to hear back from the company but am not expecting cooperation. There is no contact phone number listed on the website, which I didn’t notice until I was competing this form.
