I was contacted Amanda Smith from Hillensquare on 11/18/20, this supposedly luxury real estate company for a position of Realtor Assistant. Amanda stated that they found my resume on a job website but they didn't state what website it was. I looked for the company and found their website www.hillensquare.com. On 11/19/20 I submitted a signed Employment Agreement(Contract) and Confidentiality Agreement with my Texas Drivers License. On 11/20/20 I was informed that I passed my background check )in less than 24 hours, that should have been a sign). On 11/23/20 I began doing various Real Estate tasks looking for various properties etc. and did so until 11/27/20. On 11/27/20 after doing work tasks, what I assumed was real estate assistant work and promised compensation of $2900 bi-weekly for Amanda Smith from11/23/20-11/27/20 I did further research after having conversations with family and friends who thought this might be a scam. There was absolutely no sign of people displaying what the culture of the company was like and what their accomplishments were and their back story. There was information about awards won, number of projects completed, number customers happy - all false. I searched for both Hillensquare and Amanda Smith with Hillensquare on social media outlets or anything that showed some type of advertisement or events. Absolutely nothing was found. I then went to scamadvisor.com/check-website/hillensquare.com and found that the domain had only been in existence since 10/1/20 and that all of the information about the owner/location/etc. about the domain and company were hidden by a tactic of WhoIsGuard provided by the domain name registrar NAMECHEAP.com. Hillensquare.com is a fake luxury real estate website. This sounds good I believed, and I signed the contract. But today 11/27/20 after I did my further research I sent a very long email to Amanda Smith who would claimed to be the general manager about my findings along with saying if they were a legitimate company then they should be able to pay me for the 32 hours I had already worked as a show of good faith. They have not responded nor do I expect them to. Do not be a fool like I was, I now will have to watch out for any type of Identity theft because I provided my drivers license and my direct deposit information to them.
