My wife received a call claiming that a person was going to serve court papers for a lawsuit on that day unless a debt was paid in full. She set up a payment with credit card over the phone and got suspicious later. She researched and found that it was likely a fraud and had the bank cancel the card. She has continued to receive calls and letters to try to get her to make the payment.
