I had the exact same experience with a lady who had the exact story only with a 2018 Chevy Silverado for 22,000 only 32xxx miles on it! You can’t get a loan it has to be a wire transfer! If it sounds too good to be true it usually is! Too many red flags for my likings. Then the QTM company couldn’t give me straight answers! Things are bad enough out here and then you have to worry about scammers

Yes it is a scam. The post talking about the husband and out of town and throat surgery and escrow. My experience was word for word the same thing. Wonder what the odds of that are?

Toyota RAV4 was listed on Facebook Marketplace under “Sponsored” section. I showed the listing from Ginnys Crafts. The ad said “Contact Seller” so we sent an email. We got a response from Amanda Larson (but the email address was from erikmelser (with a number after that I don’t recall and I have since removed and blocked the email and reported it as spam) @gmail.com. The email said the car was her husband’s who passed away one month ago and it brought back bad memories. She said someone else was going to buy the car but didn’t get the loan, so it was already with HGS Advanced Logistics ready to be shipped. “She” claimed that would protect “both of us” (the seller and the buyer) and there was no obligation to purchase, with 5 days to inspect the car before accepting it. The email said she was not home, but staying with a family member because she had throat surgery. We looked up the website for the shipping company and phoned them for more info. They wanted us to fill out a form with our contact info, which we declined. The scam is they ask you to wire money for the car to hold in “escrow” until you are satisfied with the purchase. We searched and found this scam had been reported to the ScamPulse.com with almost identical format, in Springfield Missouri.

I am getting the same story exact story regarding a 2018 Ford Raptor for $20,000. Dead husband, throat surgery, staying out of town 100% the same, different vehicle. She called the company "DMV advanced logistics" instead of HGS, but upon doing some research, they appear to be the same company. Website is DMV, but the address in the website on Google maps is linked to an office complex that has HGS as the only shipping company in the building. When you hit the call company it's the same number as the DMV name. Not sure about this company being part of the scam or not but these posts have to be. Talked to a worker and they said there is no way to verify they have the car actually in stock without an order/ transaction ID and to contact the seller. If they are a broker/ intermediary they should have an inventory they can cross reference.

And I corresponded with a lady and she told me the exact same story only this time it was for a 2019 chevy that she had to get rid of because of bad memories husband dieing and throat surgery. She even sent me a carfax report. She reports the truck is at qtm logistics and ready to be shipped my way in Montana...she said the escrow would hold the money for 5 day test drive then they would release it to her if I wanted the truck.
