I was on the Hertz, com website and had started making an online reservation. Was having little bit of an issue so I found a phone number for Hertz, called it and agent answered phone to give assistance. They asked for my customer number, what member status I held with Hertz, I advised Gold member. The lady named Valerie said we have some great promotions going but you have to use a prepaid card to get this awesome discount. Will save you a lot of money. Sounded good and legit as I wanted to rent the car for a month. She advised I could get the car for $200.00 per week, so I would need to get a prepaid card such as a GO2 bank card, Walmart Money Card. After I get it call her back and she would complete the reservation. She even gave me her extension so I wouldn't have a problem getting back to her. She advised me not to activate the prepaid card until after I give her the information. I returned call to her, she asked me to peel the sticker off the front of the card, give her the numbers, exp.date and cvv from back of card. She then stated she was going to complete the reservation, and will send me the info via my rmail in about 30 minutes. I never received it so I called back and her Manager, Chris with an awful accent, answered the phone. He advised they were having system issues and couldn't process the reservation. it was a problem with the prepaid. He then told me to get another prepaid, this time an American Express prepaid. I told him he better not be scamming me, he promised everything was legit and he would refund the first card. Money would be available in a couple hours. That is when the "you have been scammed" light came on, I talked about them and told them about their scam of which he denied. I tried calling back many times after that, went to busy and they never answered again.

The Hertz business model goes as follows: You call their outsourced support for a quote on how much your rental car will be. You specifically ask for a quote with all fees and taxes included. The outsourced customer support gives you a number. You ask if you can receive said quote in writing and then they tell you they cannot give you the quote in writing. They then charge your card on file nearly double the original quoted amount. When you contest the scam they ask to see a quote in writing stating otherwise. My bank asked to see a quote in writing stating otherwise however Hertz refused to provide customers a quote in writing when directly asked. Their business model is to quote you a lie over the phone to lure you in the store and then charge you an exorbitant amount afterwards. Also their outsourced support is unable to transfer you to the customer support at any location in the United States. So basically that Hertz "support number" you see online is fraudulent as well because they can't connect you to any hertz location in the United States or even give you a corporate phone number. They also tack on OPTIONAL things to your bill without consent so when you go online to dispute it all you get is their useless outsourced support who just transfers you from one call center to another. Thank you so much hertz for lying to me and taking THOUSANDS of dollars from a long time customer. What hurts the most is Hertz WAS the go to rental car company for my parents since before I was born. Hertz just lost a long time loyal customer just to make a quick buck.

A previous employer is harassing me and exposing/breeching/abusing theft of my personal information for public use. They have hacked into my accounts to block me from having any access to my bank funds and or credit reports with the intent of filing fraudulent activity of bankruptcy and bank fraud with the credit bureaus. ex; EXPERIAN.

When I called Hertz ar 800-654-3151, this lady aka (Brittany Price) pretended to be a hertz agent making a reservation from home. She gave me info only a hertz employee would know. She told me i needed 496.00 on s prepaid or gift card from American Express. When she sent my confirmation from a text message number (805-318-7893) I noticed the hertz was in all caps and its normally the H not the whole name. When I called back A real rep from hertz told me that reference number was wrong. Their number starts with a K not a J. I knew then it was a scam. I'm a senior citizen and I want my money back. They should be imprisoned. It seem like an inside job from a hertz employee. She knew quite a bit of information regarding hertz. I am a gold member so I knew some of what she was saying about the company was correct. Find these people. I want my money back I'm a senior citizen and if they don't i want to know how to sue them.

Made reservation with Credit Card. Had confirmation #. Uber to location. Was told sorry we don’t have a car for you. Had to buy a Uber home…Had I not shown up to pick this car up for a reservation they would charge my CC $79. This place is a scam with false reservations.
