Type of a scam Moving

Terrible!

TERRIBLE!
We moved cross country and booked with Trident moving who then contracted Hermes for our move.
The truck arrived and when they opened the back it LITERALLY looked like the truck had rolled down a hill. Everything was crushed, broken, upside down, unwrapped. It was an absolute nightmare watching our life be unloaded and essentially every single item has varying degree of damage. Fragile boxes upside down completely crushed with large holes, our bedroom furniture set ruined, the foot of dresser completely broken off. Mattress was FILTHY, black.The plastic wrap torn and ripped. Office desk completely crushed. BBQ wheels both crushed, huge dent in the lid. The list goes on and on.
Drivers spoke zero English and did not even unwrap the damaged items, just left in driveway. They did not put furniture together as promised in contract. We were devastated and naturally pretty angry. Eventually another 2 people arrived, 1 being a supervisor I guess. He refused to even acknowledge the issues at first and hid out in the cab. Eventually he came out speaking to someone and taking video of the damage. He then said it was the worst “packing” he had ever seen and tried to blame it all on the front end. Problem is that when the truck left our house it was packed beautifully! Items wrapped, protected, and safe. We we’re so pleased.
At some point they switched trucks and apparently decided to just throw our belongings in randomly with zero concern or care.
It was really devastating for us. We were missing major items needed to get settled In and stuck with all this broken, damaged stuff. They left a mess. They lost all kinds of hardware and random pieces of items disappeared.
Unless you purchase last minute “extra” insurance, you can only be reimbursed a small amount by item weight. So our $1200 washer is worth $52. No regular person can afford this extra insurance.
what is promised to you in the sales pitch is absolute BS. These companies farm your move out to the lowest bidder and the cost to add items after you book is INSANE.
Hermes is garbage. They ruined our stuff and did not give one single care. Worst customer service ever.
Worst experience ever. Shame on everyone involved in this sham of a business. Garbage human beings.

Two months and counting my goods have yet to be delivered and no response from anyone 30k + of goods and no one will respond to me by phone or email called phone reception put me on hold after stating she cannot help me then left me on hold essentially until office closed. I have been robbed.

Scam, doubled my original quote

I feel these guys scammed me. I am a senior moving from So. Cal to the Nashville area. My Quote from All Coast Moving gave me a Quote of $2,550. These guys picked up my belongings, same quantity as the quote, but doubled it to $5,250. They counted every shelf, every drawer, and my queen bed as 4 pieces. I have to now leave my belongings in storage because after giving them $$2,900 in cash, their request, I still owe them $1,200 to deliver. This was after also paying All Coast up front. They refuse to discus this with me saying it is what the inventory says it is. They are rip offs. Don't use them.

Bad Movers & Scam of a Claims Process (-10000 Stars)

This fly by night organization should be not allowed to conduct businesss still with so many bad customer complaints. They damaged over $6K of my belonging and had the balls to only offer me $99 as an offer. Rediculous. Their claim process is also a scam so run away from these crooks "Hermes Moving & Storage". I rate them a negative one thousand stars!

Horrible worst experience in my life

Scam, Stay Away, Run! People are crooks! They give you one price and then up it up continually. They use brokers and the. Say they are not affiliated with them once they get to your house to move. They want more money and contract signed without broker involved. They Leave half of your stuff cause they bring too small of a truck. Weeks late on delivery and won’t take a Bank money order only post office. They say because too many people give them bad checks in final payment. I wonder why! You are the worst experience of my move. I would of been better off withUhaul.

Predatory movers out to scam the elderly

Company changed the payment method mid trip, asked for more money in cash or USPS money order in order to avoid taxes.

Delivery was 3 days late, they went through our belongings and stole electronics / anything of value.

Called management - they give 0 [censored]s about their customers.

The service is AWFUL. During two weeks I am trying to figure out where our items. According contract we should received our stuff 5th of July. Dispatcher told me that our stuff is on the way. Today I called again she told me that driver has a mechanical problem with truck.
They lied me all the time. When I asked about location - nobody know...
I signed documents when they picked up our items - and the phone number is fake. Look at attached pic. You can call and check.
It's definitely fraud.

Company refused to unload my 78 yo mothers belongings unless she paid more money. After loosing some of her possessions. When we would pay, they would not finish the job. Refused to set up furniture or unload boxes. Total scam. Extortionists. Should be in prison. When we went to file a claim with their insurance, it was a scam too. Doesn’t exist.
