The Scammer initially got in contact with me through email offering a remote data entry clerk job with pay of $20. Then I had to an assessment test online to see if I qualify link:( https://careers.herabiosciences.com/assessment/) I passed it then I deed an employee form https://forms.office.com/r/S6fYhNfiiq . they showed me this link to learn more about the companyhttps://www.herabiosciences.com . They asked for Full Name, Gender, DOB, Current home address + Apt# if any, City, State & Zip code, Direct Cell, Preferred email address I gave it to them. They said that the job needed to be filled so I got accepted right away. Then she said that we should only communicate through an app called Telegram. She asked what bank I had so that they could send me money so that I can buy supplies and equipment. Then through email the send me a check for $1965, I had to print it out and deposit it into my account. At this point I started to get suspicious because it was more than I was suspecting. I tried doing my own research but I couldn't come to a solid conclusion so I went to my collages Career Services Coordinator Evan Pennington for some help. I gave him all the information and screenshots of conversations and he said that it was most likely a scam. He said to contact the banks to see what they say. My bank said that since the money was in my account it was real, and couldn't say for sure if it was a scam or not, they recommended to call the bank that was on the check. The North ALA Bank, I called them and informed the company name that was on the check Farrar Hazel Green Tire, and they confirmed that they have seen lots of scams like this before and the company is used often. They even knew the name of on the check signature, that is not the true owner. They confirmed that it was indeed a scam but didn't know how to precede from there, they recommended that I call you. The scammer sent an link the buy a computer for $1900. I HAVE NOT bout it and have not had contact with them since I suspected that it was a scam. Now I need help on how to proceed from here I still have the money and don't know how to give it back. Attached are the pictures of the check. the code to open is 08039. If you want to talk to my career services coordinator his email is [email protected]
