On Feb. 16 2020 I purchased a new laptop, later that day I received an email that McAfee Virus Protection was going to automatically charge me $350 for their virus program and provided a phone number 916-888-2519 ext 103 to call. Like an [censored] I did and was told by Henry Nichols that I would need to be in front of my computer before he could help ( I was not at that time) he stated he would call me the next morning and he did. During this phone conversation he stated he would need remote access and again like an [censored] I gave it. I was told not to be on the internet or in front of my webcam. Mr Nichols changed passwords on several accounts I had. on 2/18/2020 $1258.96 was removed from one of the accounts listed on paypal. I immediately changed the password but it was too late the funds were gone to a John Merkel. 2 more attempts to remove money by Donbosco Joseph in the amount of $1543.00 and $1365.00 to a Priya Arora, I managed to block those . On 2/20/2020 a Karl Kuhn transferred $1258.92 into my paypal account ( I do not know this person) Mr, Nichols now says that is his customer. On 2/23/2020 Mr, Nichols requested that I transfer the money to a [email protected], this transfer failed. He then asked that I transfer it to a Sashi Rai in India and I refused. During this time I contacted Paypal customer service, explained what was happening and they checked out the information and refunded the money that came out of our account. There is still $1258.92 in my paypal account that is not mine. Mr. Nichols then asked that I do a wire to return the money it was to be sent to a Bhupinder singh Kang 1718 Sylvan way Lodi CA 95242 but the money was to be sent to a Bank of America in Henrico VA. I went to the bank and talked with the bank President Pam Inman who said "this is a scam & we are not wiring any $ anywhere" she called Mr. Nichols told him he put that money in my account and he could get it back best way he could. Mr. Nichols is now emailing me and threatening me with a report to BBB. He has used a different email on each of them 1) [email protected] and 2)[email protected].

I have already filed a complaint with the FTC.
