My wife and I went online to purchase a Schnauzer puppy. We came across this website: https://www.cuteschnauzersnearme.com/

When we inquired, we were to text (405) 374-7767 an email address for further info. My wife and I agreed on a female puppy named "Bella".

Pictures were sent to my email address by [email protected]

The fee for the puppy was for $800, which we paid via Zelle

The account I sent it too was Jodyn Scot ([email protected])

I was then sent an email that the puppy was getting prepped for transport

I was then called next morning at the phone number 405-400-8385 to confirm email was sent request an insurance fee

I was then notified by the email address of [email protected]

I was informed that I needed to provide $1400 for a refundable fee upon puppy arrival

I was requested to provide funding via Zelle or gift cards

I thought gift cards were a little fishy so I agreed to Zelle

The account was [email protected], that failed

I was then asked to use Cash App

Here are the accounts that were trying to receive funds

My last option was gift cards

I was then notified that I was to pay an additional fee of $1900 for a thermal crate for the puppy.

At this point I was not willing to pay

I emailed a person about an apparent puppy they had for sale. They gave me all the details plus pictures and videos of these puppies. I paid them less than what they were asking as they said i could just pay the rest when the dog got to me. The "seller" said they were going to register the puppy with a shipper and gave me a list of 3 different ones they were going to choose from. They decided on this Hendricks Animal Transportation. The seller went on Sunday to register the dog and let me know that the shippers would be contacting me soon. The shippers then emailed me a full tracking number with all the information i would need. They called to tell me that i was going to need pet insurance on the puppy and that it would be refundable when the dog was delivered to my house, so i paid the 1,000. They then said that the puppy needed an upgrade thermal crate which was going to cost me 1250. i told them no and the "seller" said they would pay some if i could pay the rest. I said I couldn't do anymore through my zelle account so i went and got gift cards so they wouldn't have any more of my information. They then sent me the flight itinerary for the dog. It was going to be leaving OK to fly to GA then to STL. Well when to dog got to GA they emailed and needed more money for a permit and a shot for the dog and if I didn't do this, I would be charged with pet abandonment. So of course they said everything was refundable. I paid in fear of going to jail. When the dog reached STL they said it needed more vaccines even though the "seller" had told me they already had them. Once they said this I was done. At that point they got no more money and I knew there was no dog. I called airport to check flights and terminals. All of it was a lie. The seller and shipper were the same person the whole time. Now I am out $3,000 and no puppy.
