I was offered a job that claimed I needed to purchase equipment for a work-from-home setup. They sent me checks under the pretext it was for the equipment, however I would need to pay out of my own pocket for this. I wound up sending 3 payments to the "equipment supplier" only to see the checks hadn't cleared, all of them had bounced back. After that, they stopped replying to me on Skype. I had lost $1,814.
