I received a letter in the mail from Help the Vets asking if I would accept the "record of acceptance" for a check in the amount of $10,036.12. They also asked for a donation but they claim it is not required. The organization appears to be from Orlando, Florida but you mail the donation and acceptance to P.O. Box 20553 St. Louis, MO 63139 and the envelope has either "no" I do not want to help the vets, or yes, I have enclosed a gift for American Veterans. I have donated to the organization in the past. I believe this is a scam. If they mail the check to me, it would come from Kansas 92705. I just want to warn others.
