I needed to get a new passport due to name change, so I filled out all the same documents I did when I first got my passport and uploaded my marriage certificate and everything and paid with credit card. But then they inform you that you have to print the application again and send it in with another payment of around the same amount! So I paid $276 upfront and then they want me to pay the government there $243. So by the time I realize this, they say it's past the 48 hours and I can't cancel. Then they say the $276 was just to this 3rd party to expedite, but to pay for the new passport, that's another $243!

This is a government supported organization who does nothing but rip you off. If you are not careful when you try to renew your passport you will get ripped off just the same as me. It will deceptively take you to a website that looks official but does nothing but charge you $260 more than the fees the government charges you.
