The call began with an artificial voice asking “hello?” I responded with “hello.” Then the voice asked “can you hear me?” every 5 seconds or so, with a pause of silence in between. I stayed on the line, saying nothing, until a minute later, the call ended.

Just received a call from this number. I say "Hello, this is ***". They say "Hello" back. I said "Yes? This is ***." They immediately hang up.

Not solid enough proof of a scam, but may have likely recorded my verbal "Yes" for more nefarious deeds.
