I was contacted on Tuesday, December 12th via text from someone who claimed to see my resume on Indeed. I was asked to download the Signal App for an interview with someone allegedly affiliated with Heitec AG. The interview last for about 30 mins via instant message, and I was hired on the spot. They then proceeded to ask me for my address. They tried to sound legit by not asking for my driver's license or social security number upfront, rather, they told me that that information would be asked for later via my trainer. Two days later, they sent me a check for just under ten thousand dollars, telling me that I was to buy my own equipment. However, the addresses on both the check and the package I received were fake. I contacted the company to ask about the so-called recruiter and they have yet to get back to me, but I already know what their answer will be.
