I hired John Mio (owner of Heir Lounge-has since deleted all social media for the business and blocked me from his private account) to do hair and makeup for my wedding. Prior to sending the deposit, he was helpful and responsive to email and ***. After accepting my deposit of $446.25, John became hard to get ahold of. He would ignore my messages while being very active on Facebook, he would respond to my friends when they messaged him (thinking they were potential new “clients”) and I was left wondering what happened to him. When I became seriously concerned about his intent to deliver his side of the contact (hair and makeup for 5 people for the wedding) he made it very clear that I was not getting the money back. I sent it via etransfer because he doesn’t accept credit card (should’ve been a hint). I ended up hiring someone else and am glad I did because John didn’t reach out to me at all in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

I have since found two other brides he has done the exact same thing to. John Mio strings people along with sweet talk and little white lies and so many excuses, but ultimately does not deliver any services. He happily takes your money and refuses to refund it.
