Saw an Efficiency Nova Scotia add on Facebook talking about free heat pumps thru rebates. The sight was entered and information was given, name, address and telephone number. It then showed contractors working with Efficiency NS and I messaged the three shown. MADA Construction reached out and was the only one of the three shown that did. A site visit was planned. An Oscar Kada or Kady came for visit. He went throughput my house, looked at our furnace and told me I qualify for two rebated giving up to $30,000. I was told I could finance the project thru MADA Construction and the total cost for my project would be around $28,000. He then opened his computer and showed me after some time that financing has been approved and they could start the project right away and I would be given three months grace period to get the rebates from Efficiency NS and the loan would be paid off. If not I would have to pay $410 a month for ten years. After Oscar left my wife and I applied for the $15,000 rebate with Efficiency NS and was approved. I was called to inform me I had been approved and was told of the process to get quotes from three heat pump installers. I then mentioned MADA Construction and was told that Efficiency NS doesn’t work with and has never worked with MADA. I was emailed the step by step process of how Efficiency NS wants us to proceed. Oscar from MADA has called six more times telling me they are legit and work for a corporation under Efficiency NS and wants to start my project even after I say no that I have other plans and MADA isn’t doing any work for me. The last call the job cost has been reduced and they are going to throw in a bunch freebies.
