The scammer emailed me posing as an employee of Heartland Payment System Inc. saying my resume had been approved and to email them for an interview using G-mail hangout or Google talk with the email address I provided above. I downloaded the Google talk hangout app to communicate with this person and they seemed legit interviewing me asking multiple questions about this position. They said I was required to order these work materials and gave me a legitimate list of specific materials for this position. They asked for my name, mailing address, email address, phone number, sex and age in order to enable the secretary to enlist the information into the company's register for proper documentation. They proceeded to send me employment documents that I was to read, review, sign and return to the email address they provided me. I read over the employment documents and they seemed real so not knowing I was being scammed I signed and returned to the email address given. After that they sent me a check with the amount the working materials were going to cost with a tracking number. Once I received the check they asked if I would shred that check and send them a picture of it for their records because they had not given me the right amount of money to pay for the working materials. I shredded the check and sent them a confirmation picture of the shredded check and they were going to send another check. I then recieved an email from the job career site saying this specific company had suspicious activity with people trying to get social security numbers and bank account information so the job career site removed that job posting. I then proceeded to ask this person questions if I was being scammed and if this was a legit company they told me they were a legit company and that this was indeed not a scam. Then I asked if this person could send me a photo and biography of themselves so I really knew who I was talking with and the person never responded. After the person did not respond I looked up the tracking number they had provided me with for this second check they were supposed to be sending and it got canceled by the shipper and was no longer getting delivered to my address it was being sent back to the shipper.

I had been looking for employment and was contacted off of Snagajob by an James Douglas saying i would be interviewed same day. The said company was Heartland Payment System Inc.. I was instructed to download telegram which is a app used for messaging. Spoke with an Anthony Walters on telegram tgrough text message. Fast forward i was asked to deposit money into my account via mobile. I instantly saw red flags and started to communicate with bbb. First woamn told me i didnt have enough info and to come back with more. Finally i did and told her about the checks they said i would habe to print since my bank sysyem is down. Which it wasnt. I followed all that the lady suggested and deleted the app and stopped contacy with said person. I am greatly concerned i gave my id and picture of self for employment. I will be doing a report on this just in case of threats or issues.
