In previous years, I have ordered a calendar from Hearst (Prevention magazine). They auto-signed me up without my consent to receive one in 2021 and mailed me a postcard notification of the order. I called the number on the postcard and cancelled the order as well as the auto-billing. Fast-forward 3 months and I received a charge on my CC from Hearst. Upon calling them to complain, I was told told that they had no record of my cancellation call and that they also had no way of canceling the order even though it had not yet shipped.
