Harmon Consulting Group Reports & Reviews (2)

I have just had the exact same thing happen to me. I applied yesterday, Monday 4/5 and was just shy of harassed by like 4 different reminders in text, and a final one over the phone from an extremely rude Kelly (I think). I had previoualy been dealing with Sadie who went ahead and scheduled a Zoom conversation with the aforementioned Chad. It was all sort of suspicious ans Kelly got mad at me when I tried to get more information from her, calling me "confused". The appointment came and went and Chad did not materialize. I waited like a dope in front of my computer for an hour. I called the phone number for rude Kelly, sent email, and texted and called Sadie and received no answer. I've learned that if something feels scammy, it is. God only knows what these people are up to. I feel stupid not takinf advantage of a lovely day and saying no to invitations ans other engagements to talk to "Chad". Who's named Chad anyway? Stay away from this if you value your time. Even if they are real then this is how they deal with people, then I want no part of it. To any potential clients of this little disaster, think what this means for your brand. Stay away!

- New York, NY, USA

I applied for a marketing assistant position at Harmon Consulting Group on Zip Recruiter. The position had no link to their website, an unspecific job description, little to no information about the company, and stated that no experience was required. Nevertheless, I applied. The email I received was from a Sadie M. on a Sunday morning and she stated they were very interested. She mentioned that the hiring manager, named Chad, recently moved to NYC from Atlanta and they were looking for a new talent. They have a three hour time window the interview could take place during and to respond with the 30-minute period that worked best. I emailed back and did not receive an email respond from Sadie until late Sunday evening. She sent Zoom login information and some tips for the interview. I became weary when the website also contained no specific information, no address was available, no employee/team photos, no past work shown, and their LinkedIn page was invalid. I looked up their domain on ICANN lookup and found that it was created 5 days prior to their contact with me and 2-3 days prior to my submitted job application. Upon further investigation into NYC marketing agency scams I concluded that the agency did not exist or it was existing under unsavory pretenses.
