Approached about a job offer from a small company for a remote administrative role, the interview process happened only on MS Teams, through text only, I completed a questionnaire, then they stated I was selected for the position and then they stated that they will send a mobile check so that I can buy the home office equipment. It seemed legit at first but they never ask to fill out forms that require personal info for payment neither did they ask for bank info to deposit weekly pay checks, but became persistent to deposit the mobile check.
