I was scammed and charged $89.99 by a company called HappyTechnologyStore.com (website is operated by Technologies Group LLC with an address in Garfield, NJ) and am unable to reach them via their website (which does not appear to exist) and when I called them they gave me the run around and would not give me their mailing address for me to submit a Better Business Bureau report. Here is what transpired … I was texted back in December under the guise of the merchant being AT&T (which is my cell provider) with a promotional deal to a dashcam and I was only to be charged $5.95. The number it came from was +1 (346) 287-9118 … , and what it said … “ATT Free Msg: November bill is paid. Thanks, Here’s a little gift for you: vacwn.com/8YB8B0mGo7 … That is how I ordered the dashcam and now that link is no longer valid. I thought that was a deal and accepted the offer which was only pay for the shipping of $5.95 … then a couple weeks later I was charged $89.99 on my credit card on 12/31/21, which I never authorized. I received the dashcam about a week or so later - opened the box and all that was inside was the dashcam … NO PAPERWORK was provided inside the box other than the instruction manual. I never agreed or signed anything authorizing this charge and hope to have it reversed permanently given that I NEVER AUTHORIZED it. I have placed a complaint with both the Massachusetts Attorney General and the New Jersey Attorney General stating that I was scammed out of $89.99 which I never authorized.
