They offered assemble at home projects. Said they shipped them. However while you wait on package, they encourage you to complete tasks. Some simple for just likes on pages. Then they put up a purchase task. The first one is cheap and simple. They pay it out. On the 12th task, the starting amount is $100. This places you into the same type of task as the $27 one, but you randomly get selected to do another task… this one starts at $380. Once completed, you miraculously get a third task. This one asks for $1200 to make $480. Once finished you can cash out and get paid a total of $2354. Once you finish you are promised a $500 bonus. Let’s just say something always goes wrong. Mine was an issue of the merchant not having the product still listed to complete. They wanted more money deposited. I cut my losses. Very expensive lesson.

Contacted by a Charlotte Sinclair a recruitment coordinator reaching out to discuss a crafting role. This work opportunity involves assembling a variety of handmade products such as handbags, beaded flowers, DIY rhinestone phone case kits, and rhinestone hair clips. You will be paid in installments with the opportunity to earn $100 and $500 a day, depending on the amount of work you complete. The company provides all the necessary materials and covers all shipping costs. Then I was asked if I had any previous experience with handcrafts or similar assembly work. Then she proceeded to let me know I can get instruction sheets. Then showed me a payment list of how much I can make by crafting these items. Next she asked what kind of product I would be interested in participating in making. I asked if they were a legit company and she sent me the name and address of the company. Then she told me to download Telegram so they could get in contact with me.

Trying to get me to assemble products at home and pay after inspection.

• Jul 23, 2026

I was contacted by text message by someone named Charlotte Sinclair claiming to be a Recruitment Coordinator for a company called "Handmade". They offered work-from-home craft assembly jobs assembling products such as beaded bags, rhinestone hair clips, beaded flower charms, and DIY rhinestone phone case kits. They provided a pay rate sheet with high piece rates ($2 to $50 per item) and claimed earnings of hundreds to thousands of dollars.

They said the company is located at 600 Townsend Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, California and gave the website handmade.com. They stated that materials would be sent, work would be inspected, and payment would be made after completion (either at the door or by chosen method).

This appears to be a fake job offer scam. The address given belongs to another company (Patreon), and handmade.com is a marketplace that does not hire people for product assembly. Similar reports involving the name Charlotte Sinclair have been filed previously.
