I received an email from someone named Stev Dan saying they had seen my profile on the website Minnesota Works, and that was invited for an on-line interview the next day. The name of the interviewee was John Marlay johnmarlay1.gmail.com. The email said I needed to open a Hangout account to do the interview.

When I did the interview through Hangout they offered a high paying job opportunity, but whenever I asked what the job was, they would not say. I quickly recognized it as a scam and even told them so, but they continued to instant message me. On April 29, I received a nearly $3,000 check with very bogus looking paperwork and no instructions. I've seen a similar scam on ScamPulse.com and it involved some of the same names, I.E. Hamrock, Mr. Richard N. Kender [email protected] .. I deleted hangout, but continue to get emails and texts wondering about my status. You ask if they tried to take money .. my answer would be yes .. but I didn't let it get that far.
