I contacted Halifax SeaCan Shipping containers in Barrie ,October 12,2021by phone. They sent their email, website address in order to get a quote. I received a quote by email for $4000.00 for a 40ft shipping container including delivery. On November 5th 2021, I texted the contact number to see if the container was still available, they replied yes. Then asked me to send my email address to their sales department. So they could send me an invoice from Halifax Containers. We went back and forth through texting over payment from Nov.5th.2021 to Nov.7th.2021 because the amount exceeded my daily limit. Once I sent the full payment by E-transfer to purchase the container, they confirmed the delivery date would be Nov.10.2021. They told me that the delivery driver would contact me the day before with the drop off time. Nov.8th.2021 was the last time they responded to any of my text messages in regards to drop off time. This is when I reported it to the police and fraud squad at the bank. I'm waiting for the bank to get back to me. Also, contacted my lawyer to send a letter on my behalf requesting a full refund, For non delivery. I'm requesting B.B.B to look into this matter of fraud, on my behalf.

The low price started me thinking about whether or not the deal was real when local prices were at least double what this company was offering. I checked the address and street view took me to a vacant lot. I could not find the business listed in the city where it was based. I contacted the local government, another business near the scammers location and confirmed the vacant lot. Tried to call the number and a generic message answered the phone. The web site looks very professional. None of the links work. Everything is done by text message and email. Please be ware.
