Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Poor Customer Service and Unfair Practices by Halibuy Fashion and Piggy Express

Dear Better Business Bureau,

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Halibuy Fashion for their unacceptable handling of a delivery issue, lack of communication, and demand for additional payment under unfair circumstances. The situation has caused significant frustration and inconvenience, as outlined below:

1. When I sent my package to Halibuy Fashion, I was unaware that additional address information was required, as I frequently receive packages from other companies without issue. Upon being notified of the issue on December 30, I immediately contacted Halibuy Fashion’s customer service by phone and provided the requested information, including my full address and phone number for the courier, Piggy Express, to contact me directly.

2. During the call, I was assured by the representative that the package would be sent out within one to two days.

3. By January 2, after three days without any delivery update, I attempted to contact Halibuy Fashion six times by phone. Each time, my call was disconnected just as I reached the front of the queue, leaving me to believe the disconnections were deliberate.

4. Frustrated with the phone system, I contacted their online chat service, where I was informed that delivery would require an additional one to two days. This response was unacceptable given their earlier assurance of a timely resolution.

5. I sent follow-up emails and made further phone calls to express my dissatisfaction, but all my efforts to seek resolution were ignored.

6. Today, Halibuy Fashion sent me a screenshot of the address information from their system, which did not include the full address I had already provided by phone. Despite my prior communication and attempts to rectify the situation, they informed me that they would destroy the package unless I paid an additional $27 USD to proceed. This threat was made despite the fact that Piggy Express, their courier company, had failed to properly record and use the address I provided.

7. The package was finally delivered by Piggy Express on January 7th, 10 days late. I accepted their apology, Halibuy Fashion has never apologized nor compensated me for their delays.

The failure of both Halibuy Fashion to handle my address information accurately, coupled with the threat to destroy my package unless I paid more money, is both unprofessional and unethical. I believe this behavior reflects poor customer service practices and an attempt to unfairly extract additional payment from customers.

I am requesting that this matter be investigated thoroughly and that both Halibuy Fashion be held accountable for their lack of transparency, poor communication, and unfair business practices.
