THE REP THAT CALLED (SKYLER JOHNSON) SAID THAT MY HUSBAND WAS BEING SUED, AND I NEEDED TO HAVE HIM CONTACT THEIR OFFICE IMMEDIATELY. I SENT THE NUMBER, HER NAME, AND THE "CASE NUMBER" TO MY HUSBAND AND TOLD HIM TO CALL ASAP. HE TALKED WITH ANOTHER REP THAT TOLD HIM WE OWED A HOSPITAL THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS, AND HE WAS BEING SUED, THAT THEY WOULD GARNISH OUR WAGES, TAKE OUR HOME, AND THE WHOLE 9 YARDS. THAT ALSO HAD EVERY BIT OF OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, INCLUDING DOB, ADDRESS, AND SS #. HE HUNG UP AND CALLED THE HOSPITAL, WHO SAID THEY DO NOT DO THIS FOR ANY PATIENT EVER, AND SAID THAT THE ONLY AMOUNT WE OWED WAS FROM 8 YEARS AGO, AND HAS REACHED ITS STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS. I CALLED THE "LAW FIRM" BACK AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR/MANAGER. THE REP (CHRISTOPHER HERNANDEZ) STATED THAT HE IS THE MANAGER AND I REPLIED, "I HIGHLY DOUBT THE MANAGER IS ANSWERING THE PHONES." HIS REPLY WAS "I GUESS THIS IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME THING THEN HUH?" I TOLD HIM THAT THE ORIGINAL COMPANY HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THIS FIRM, AND THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM. HE LAUGHED AND SAID THAT I WAS HARASSING THEM, AND THAT I HAD A LOT OF NERVE TO CALL AND ACT LIKE THAT. HE SAID THAT I WAS "THE DEFENDANT AND HE COULD TALK TO ME HOWEVER HE WANTED." HE THEN GOOGLED MY PHONE NUMBER AND FOUND WHAT COUNTY MY NUMBER WAS LISTED IN, AND CALLED THE SHERIFFS OFFICE ON 3 WAY. HOWEVER I LIVE IN A DIFFERENT COUNTY THAN MY NUMBER IS LISTED, SO I HUNG UP WITH BOTH PARTIES AND CALLED THE CORRECT SHERIFFS OFFICE. THEY SAID THAT THIS WAS DEFINITELY A SCAM, AND TO FILE A REPORT IN CASE SOMETHING LIKE IDENTITY THEFT WERE TO OCCUR, SINCE THEY HAD ALL OF OUR PERSONAL INFORMATION.

I was called by this company letting me know that they were going to be filing a claim against me in court for an HSBC credit card. I asked them for validation of the debt and they stated that they had sent 2 certified letters that were rejected. I told them that an attempt has not been made to deliver a certified letter to me and to please provide the information so I could talk to my post office. I also asked for validation of the debt, and he offered to send me a settlement letter via email. I told him that a settlement letter is different from validation of the debt and that they were violating my rights as a consumer. At that time the gentleman raised his voice at me and then hung up the phone after I continued to question him.

Scammer contacted multiple family members to reach the victim but was unsuccessful. Scammer made aware to family that the victim was being sued and owed money but did not say why. Victim called on another phone aggressively asking questions and the scammer has no company website, no physical address, no company email and any alternate phone numbers were listed in separate states. The victim made it clear he was aware it was a scam and demanded more info. Scammer hung up the phone.
